Released in 1995 as part of his HIStory album, "They Don't Care About Us" is a powerful, socially charged anthem that addresses themes of oppression, injustice, and inequality. With its bold rhythm, raw energy, and provocative lyrics, the song calls out societal issues, particularly racial discrimination and the mistreatment of marginalized communities. Jackson's impassioned vocal delivery, combined with percussion-driven beats, creates an intense, confrontational track that became a rallying cry for change. The song's music videos, filmed in Brazil and featuring powerful imagery, further emphasized its message. "They Don't Care About Us" remains one of Jackson's most politically charged songs, cementing his role as an artist unafraid to use his platform for social activism.
